Owen Sound, ON – As the 2022 training camp winds down, the Owen Sound Attack are pleased to announce the signing of goaltender Carter George.

The Attack have now locked up their first four draft selections from the 2022 draft, as Ben Cormier (11th), Braedyn Rogers (30th), Antonio Tersigni (35th) and George, the 53rd overall selection have all signed their standard player agreements.

“I am truly honoured to sign with the Owen Sound Attack,” George said. “It’s been a dream of mine to play in the OHL and I just want to thank all my family, friends and coaches who have helped me and supported me along the way.”

A Thunder Bay, ON native, George played last season in the Greater Toronto Hockey League, with the Thunder Bay Kings. In 24 regular season games George went 7-14-3, but posted a .920 save percentage, as he gave his team a chance to win every time out. During three games of the 2022 OHL Cup, the net minder had an outstanding .961 save percentage, as he finished as one of the top goalies in the tournament.

“Carter is a very athletic and hard working goalie,” Attack GM Dale DeGray said of his new net minder. “He works extremely hard from post to post and is a great resemblance to Micheal McNiven.”

The Attack look forward to seeing George in a Bears uniform in the coming future.
