The Chicago Blackhawks announced they have activated defenseman Artyom Levshunov from the injured non-roster and assigned him to their AHL affiliate Rockford IceHogs.
Levshunov was the second overall selection at the 2024 NHL draft in June after recording 35 points in 38 games in his lone season at Michigan State University.

The Zhlobin, BLR, native fractured his foot during the summer, he recently began skating with the Blackhawks.
Levshunov’s initial opportunity to play his first career professional game will come on Saturday when Rockford take on the Manitoba Moose.

Rockford are currently 1-2 to begin the AHL season. Levshunov will join fellow Blackhawks youngsters Kevin Korchinski, Frank Nazar, and Landon Slaggert in gaining experience with the IceHogs.
