The Chicago Blackhawks have assigned two of their top prospects to their AHL affiliate Rockford IceHogs.
Forward Frank Nazar and defensemen Kevin Korchinski and Louis Crevier were sent to the AHL.
Korchinski was selected seventh overall in the 2022 draft, Nazar 13th. Crevier was a seventh round selection in 2020.

This is somewhat surprising for Korchinski, who played in 76 games and recorded 15 points for the Blackhawks last season, though he did finish -39. It will not be surprising for him to receive a call-up early in the year.
The 20-year-old Nazar scored one goal in three games with the Blackhawks last season after finishing his second season at the University of Michigan. He scored earlier today in Rockford’s preseason game.
Nazar and Korchinski should immediately drop onto the IceHogs’ first line and first pair respectively.
Crevier played 24 games for the Blackhawks and 43 for the IceHogs last season, he should play significant minutes for Rockford as long as he is in the AHL.
The IceHogs open their season October 12th against the Griffins.
