The Chicago Wolves have signed goaltender Dustin Tokarski to a professional try-out, it was announced Sunday.
Hailing from Humboldt, Sask., Tokarski spent last season playing for the Rochester Americans, posting a 11-9-3 record to go along with a 3.32 GAA and a .890 SV%.
Drafted in the fifth round of the 2008 NHL Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning, Tokarski has made 80 career NHL regular season appearances over the years, collecting a 23-34-12 record, a 3.15 GAA and a .902 SV%.
With Tokarski having a career .910 SV% throughout his time in the AHL, this could be a solid get for the Wolves if they elect to sign him. Tokarski showed last season he was still capable of handling a large role in the AHL and should help Chicago get back on track even on his PTO.
