The Boston Bruins are getting the band back together.
The team has announced that center David Krejci will return to the Bruins after a one-year run back home in the top Czechia league. Krejci has signed a one-year deal worth $1 million, with another $2 million available in performance bonuses.
Before leaving the Bruins last year, Krejci played 962 total games with the Bs, putting up an impressive 730 points and capturing a Stanley Cup in 2011.
During the pandemic-shortened 2021 season, Krejci kept on scoring at nearly a point-per-game pace, racking up 44 points in 51 games for the Bruins while winning 54 percent of his draws and averaging over 17 minutes per night.
Krejci recently represented Czechia at the Olympics and World Championship, recording at least a point-per-game in both. At the worlds, he found his old groove back with David Pastrnak, scoring three goals and 12 points to win bronze.
