Ducks announce broadcast partnership with Victory+ and KCOP Channel 13

While it was reported on Aug. 23 that Bally Sports had agreed to a broadcast deal with several NHL teams including the Ducks, that is no longer the case.

On Tuesday, they announced a partnership with Fox Plus (KCOP Channel 13) and A Parent Media Co. Inc., owner of Victory+ “to stream/televise all regional Ducks games free of charge beginning with the 2024-25 NHL season.”

This announcement is a revelation given how close preseason is and the lack of information there was about where Ducks games would be broadcast for the 2024-25 season.

The Ducks had been in negotiations with both Bally Sports and Victory+/KCOP for months working on a plan leading up to the official announcement. “There was no last minute pivot (from Bally),” a source familiar with the situation said. “That would be impossible with something of this magnitude.”

Through this agreement with Victory+ and KCOP Channel 13, 65 games during the 2024-25 season will be “available to 100% of the Los Angeles regional market, entirely free to all fans.”

Starting in September, fans in the Ducks’ regional television territory will be able to watch games and any additional content for free on Victory+.

As noted previously, the expectation is that the broadcast crew of John Ahlers, Brian Hayward, Aly Lozoff, Kent French and Guy Hebert will return even with the pivot from Bally Sports.
