The Edmonton Oilers have recalled forwards Drake Caggiula and Noah Philp from their AHL affiliate Bakersfield Condors, per Elliotte Friedman.
Caggiula has five points in five games with Bakersfield this season after notching 37 points in 43 games with them last season.

The 30-year-old last played in the NHL in 2022-23 and went pointless in four games with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He last played for the Oilers in Dec. 2018.
In 282 career NHL games Caggiula has 46 goals and 91 points. He is in the final year of a two-year deal he signed with the Oilers in 2023.
Philp took a hiatus from hockey and did not play in the 2023-24 season, he returned and nearly made the Oilers out of training camp this season. He has two goals and three points in six games with Bakersfield this season.
The 26-year-old played parts of three seasons at the University of Alberta before signing a one-year entry-level deal with Edmonton in 2022. He signed a one-year, two-way deal with the franchise in July.
The Canmore, AB, native has only played roughly one season worth of professional games, he has recorded 21 goals and 40 points in 81 AHL career games. He looks to make his NHL debut.
While we await news on Connor McDavid’s health, the Oilers are bringing up Drake Caggiula and Noah Philp from AHL Bakersfield.
Caggiula, a nine-year pro, last played for Edmonton on Dec. 29, 2018.

With Connor McDavid out for an undisclosed amount of time after leaving Monday’s game against Columbus with an injury there is a good chance one or both of these players will play games for the Oilers.
