Andrae, 22, played in four games last season with the Flyers, posting zero points and a minus-1 rating. Down in the AHL with the Phantoms, he was quite impactful, posting five goals and 32 points in 61 games. He also had two goals and an assist in six post-season games with the Phantoms.
It is understandable that the Flyers have recalled Andrae, as Nick Seeler is currently sidelined with an injury. In addition, the Flyers announced that Seeler has been placed on injured reserve, retroactive to Oct. 1.
With this recall, Andrae now has a golden opportunity to leave a good impression. It will be intriguing to see how much of an impact the youngster can make while with the NHL squad from here.
