Generals sign forward Brooks RogowskiOshawa, Ont. – The Oshawa Generals organization is excited to announce the commitment of Brooks Rogowski, who has signed an OHL scholarship and development agreement. Rogowski was selected 38th overall in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection Draft on Friday, April 12th and was acquired from Detroit Catholic Central.
“We are very excited to have a player with Brooks’ skill and size in the fold going forward. He’s a big man that can skate well,” says Generals GM and Vice President, Roger Hunt. “Brooks has elite athlete in his veins and will adjust well to the riggers of the OHL. I am excited about seeing him Gens colours.”
In the Second Round of the Priority Selection, the Oshawa Generals selected the first US pick of 2024. With 25 games played, Rogowski earned 19 goals and 24 assists for a total of 43 points overall. 15-year-old Rogowski added two goals and two assists in five games in the playoffs for Catholic Central, which won its fifth straight state title with a 2-0 victory over Brighton in the Div. 1 final at USA Hockey Arena.
Scouts indicate that Rogowski is a big, physical force and an intimidating body on the ice. A tough centreman to play against, Rogowski will enter Oshawa with a solid foundation, being in a US hockey school system, where they attend and develop to become future stars on the ice.
“This is such a dream come true,” says Rogowski. “I am really excited to play at this level and for this team.”
