Everyone is settled into the first month of the NHL season, which has given us plenty to enjoy and a few moments to laugh about. Here are some of the best from this past week.

Connor McDavid the Juggler

Edmonton’s matinee game against St. Louis on Saturday may not have been the most exciting, but it did produce a moment from Connor McDavid that you had to see to believe.

There are many players who can do this messing around in practice, but in a game and going full speed while facing a defender? That number has to be in the single digits. Just when we think we know everything about the ability of the Oilers captain, he pulls out something new from his bag of tricks.

Being A Passer Worked Out For Vladimir Tarasenko

Everyone knows players chat with each other during games. Still, there may not be a funnier interaction this season than between Seattle’s Jaden Schwartz and St. Louis’ Vladimir Tarasenko off the opening faceoff.

It looked like Tarasenko listened to his former teammate’s advice as he finished the night with three assists in the Blues’ 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken. Now the next time the Blues and Kraken play, as wholesome as that conversation was, will Schwartz chat up Tarasenko again? We’ll have to wait and see.

Alex Nedeljkovic Uses His Blocker To Send A Message

Backup goalies don’t usually steal the spotlight on the bench during a game, but Detroit Red Wings goalie AlexNedeljkovic found a way to do that.

During one of ESPN’s Emily Kaplan’s hits on the Red Wings bench, Nedeljkovic used the opportunity to send a message on his blocker to his mom.

Was the message received by his mom? It most certainly was.

We need more players sending messages to their families and friends mid-game.
