  • Vegas Golden Knights prospect Matyas Sapovaliv came through with a hat trick, guiding the Spirit to another win over Flint
  • Sapovaliv’s hat trick is just the second in Spirit playoff history, following Michael Fine back on Apr. 9, 2012
  • Minnesota Wild prospect Hunter Haight had a goal and an assist, giving Saginaw third period insurance
  • Flint opened the scoring on a second straight night, with Nolan Dann providing their lone goal
  • Saginaw outshot Flint 26-17 in a game played before 5,547 at the Dow Event Center

Sudbury Wolves 1, Peterborough Petes 2
Peterborough leads series 2-0

  • New York Rangers prospect Brennan Othmann banged in a rebound 14 seconds into the third period, putting the Petes ahead for good
  • Othmann joined teammate Tucker Robertson with a goal and an assist
  • Evan Konyen provided Sudbury’s lone marker
  • Both goaltenders were excellent, with Michael Simpson making 40 saves in the win while Sudbury’s Kevyn Brasard turned aside 51 of 53
