The Islanders have signed forward Julien Gauthier to a two-year contract, while also bringing in forwards Karson Kuhlman and Brian Pinho on one-year, two-way deals.
Gauthier, 26, has previously suited up with three different teams: the Rangers, Carolina Hurricanes, and Ottawa Senators. He’s spent the bulk of his career with the Blueshirts, suiting up for 131 regular season games. Over parts of four seasons with New York, Gauthier recorded 11 goals and 15 assists.
The Rangers traded Gauthier and a seventh-round draft pick to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for Tyler Motte this past January.
Overall, Gauthier has 14 goals and 18 assists in his 153 career regular season games.
Kuhlman, 27, has played 147 games at the NHL level. He spent four seasons with the Boston Bruins but has also played for the Seattle Kraken and the Winnipeg Jets. Kuhlman has 12 goals and 18 assists to his name.
Pinho, 28, has played just two games at the NHL level, both with the Washington Capitals in 2020-21.
