Ivan Galiyanov commits to IceDogs – Ontario Hockey League

NIAGARA, ON – The Niagara IceDogs are pleased to announce that forward Ivan Galiyanov has been signed to an OHL Standard Player Agreement. The IceDogs selected Galiyanov 68th overall in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection.

Galiyanov, a 5-foot-9 left-winger from Ajax, Ont. spent his U16 season with the Vaughan Kings of the GTHL. In 33 games Galiyanov recorded 10 goals, 19 assists and 29 points in 33 games, and added five points in seven games at the OHL Cup where he helped lead the Kings to a finals berth.

Interim General Manager, Wes Consorti on the addition of Galiyanov, “We are proud to officially welcome Ivan Galiyanov to the IceDog family. Ivan possesses a very high end skill set and will be a player who will make a positive impact on the ice and in the community for the organization.”

Galiyanov will join former Vaughan Kings teammate, Artem Frolov, with the IceDogs after Frolov’s commitment on May 1st. The two played the 2022-2023 season together leading their U16 team to a historic run at the 2023 OHL Cup.
