Jacob Battaglia commits to Frontenacs – Ontario Hockey League

Kingston, Ontario – The Kingston Frontenacs Hockey Club is proud to announce the signing of prospect, Jacob Battaglia to a Standard Player Agreement.

Battaglia was selected by the Frontenacs with the 27th overall pick during the 2022 OHL Priority Selection. The 6’0″, 205 lbs power forward joins Gabriel Frasca as the second Kingston draft pick from the 2022 OHL Priority Selection to sign a Standard Player Agreement.

“The Frontenacs are excited to have Jacob committed to our organization,” said General Manager, Kory Cooper. “He brings power and finesse to our hockey club. We feel that his game will translate well to the Ontario Hockey League. Our staff looks forward to working with Jacob and continuing to develop his game. He is a great addition to our young core of players.”

During the 2021-22 season, Battaglia suited up with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens U16 AAA. In 57 games, the Mississauga native registered 37 goals and 55 assists for 92 points. Jacob and the Toronto Jr. Canadiens won the GTHL U16 AAA championship to cap off a successful 2021-22 season. The Jr. Canadiens ended up finishing 2nd overall in the OHL Cup, falling to the Mississauga Senators U16 AAA in the final. In 7 games played during the OHL Cup, Jacob collected 8 points (1 goal and 7 assists).
