There will be more than a few new faces among the Florida Panthers when they take the ice for training camp in a couple months.

As is the case in most professional sports, with new names and new faces come new jersey numbers.

On Wednesday, the Panthers provided an update on what numbers the team’s newest players will be wearing when we see them at the Baptist Health IcePlex next much for camp.

One of those new players is actually a familiar face, and he’ll come with a familiar number on his back.

Goaltender Chris Driedger, now on his second tour with the Panthers, will wear the same No. 60 he donned during his first stint in South Florida.

As for the new Cats, here are the numbers they’ll be wearing with Florida and a little history on their career number choices:

Jesper Boqvist – No. 70

He previously wore No. 70 with the Bruins last season and the Devils in the two before that. He also used No. 90 during his first two seasons in New Jersey.

Adam Boqvist – No. 34

This will be the first time Boqvist has worn any number other than No. 27 in the NHL.

MacKenzie Entwistle – No. 44

During Entwistle’s 193 NHL games with Chicago, he only wore No. 58

A.J. Greer – No. 10

Greer previously wore No. 10 during his only season with Boston, in 2022-23. During his NHL career he’s also worn No. 46 and No. 24 in Colorado, No. 42 in New Jersey and No. 18 in Calgary.

Jaycob Megna – No. 8

Megna has not worn No. 8 in the NHL before. He wore No. 75 and No. 43 with Anaheim, No. 24 with both San Jose and Chicago, and No. 44 with Seattle.

Tomas Nosek – No. 92

After breaking into the NHL wearing No. 83 with Detroit, Nosek has used jersey No. 92 during his stops in Vegas, Boston and New Jersey.

Nate Schmidt – No. 88

Schimdt has only worn No. 88 during his 661 NHL games spread between Washington, Vegas, Vancouver and Winnipeg.
