The 27-year-old has played in 11 games for the Firebirds, scoring three goals and four points. He got off to a rough start but has recently found his game and the points are following.
Stephens was the Tampa Bay Lightning’s second-round pick (33rd overall) in the 2015 NHL draft. He’s played 95 games in the NHL, recording five goals and 16 points with the Lightning, Detroit Red Wings, and Montreal Canadiens.

Stephens signed a two-year, two-way deal with the Kraken in the offseason after he split his 2023-24 season with the Canadiens and the Laval Rocket.

Stephens is a tad undersized but plays the game at a high pace and has quite a bit of skill. He’s been able to showcase his talent at the AHL level but translating to the NHL has been difficult.
