Macklin Celebrini, the San Jose Sharks’ No. 1 pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, did not practice today due to a lower-body injury.
“Lower-body. He’s being evaluated right now,” Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky said about Celebrini.
It is uncertain when the injury occurred. Warsofsky did not divulge much detail regarding the top center and wouldn’t commit to him playing against the Anaheim Ducks tomorrow.
The No. 1 pick dealt with a lower-body injury throughout training camp and the preseason. Still, Warsofsky again wouldn’t comment on whether this injury is connected to the last.
Celebrini had a goal and an assist in his NHL debut against the St. Louis Blues last night.
