The Devils re-signed right wing Nate Bastian and forward Michael McLeod and acquired defenseman Colin Miller from the Dallas Stars in a trade for New Jersey’s 2025 NHL Draft pick.
Bastian, 25, inked a two-year contract with $2.7 million. McLeod, also 25, returns on a one-year deal for $1.4 million.
Miller, 30, joins the Devils after his eighth NHL season and first with the Stars. He totaled 21 points on six goals and 15 assists in 79 regular-season games during the 2022-23 campaign with Dallas.
Miller’s career includes stops with the Boston Bruins (2015-17), Las Vegas Knights (2017-19) and Buffalo Sabres (2020-22). In 466 career games, Miller has scored 157 points on 35 goals and 122 assists.
Bastian’s fourth NHL season included 15 points on six goals and nine assists in 43 regular-season games. McLeod, meanwhile, finished Year 5 in New Jersey with a career-high 26 points (four goals, 22 assists) over 80 games.
