A busy weekend of Premier Hockey Federation action continued on Saturday with two games on the revised schedule.

Metropolitan Riveters 0, Boston Pride 5

Corinne Schroeder continues making PHF history between-the-pipes for Boston. The All-Star goaltender stopped all 34 shots faced to record her seventh shutout, adding another clean sheet to her already established single season record. On offense, Sammy Davis’ first period goal held as the game-winner. The Pride tacked on four more in the third period with tallies from a quartet of All-Stars. Americans Allie Thunstrom and Jillian Dempsey both scored singles, with the Pride captain notching her 10th of the season on the power play as part of a three-point night. Canadian All-Star MVP and PHF top scorer Loren Gabel scored her 15th into the empty-net, and All-Star captain Kaleigh Fratkin added a late power play marker. Katie Burt made 27 saves for the Riveters in defeat. Boston’s 13th win of the season came in their freshly unveiled third jerseys and keeps them four points ahead of Toronto atop the overall standings.

Buffalo Beauts 0, Toronto Six 3

Elaine Chuli turned in one of her best performances of the season in Toronto’s crease. The reigning PHF Goaltender of the Year stopped all 26 shots to record her ninth win and first shutout of the season. T6 captain Shiann Darkangelo was the offensive star in this contest with a pair of second period goals to bring her season total to six. The American All-Star now has 14 points in 15 games so far this campaign and 62 points in 70 games over her career which ranks inside the league’s top-10 all-time scorers. Michela Cava added an empty-net goal in the final seconds to complete a two-point game. Defender Lindsay Eastwood also had a two-point effort with a pair of assists. Lovisa Berndtsson took the loss in the Beauts net with 29 saves on 31 shots. T6 wore rainbow socks and helmet stickers to celebrate Pride. Their 11th win of the season gives them 33 points, four back of Boston.

Saturday’s game between the Minnesota Whitecaps and Montreal Force was postponed due to inclement weather and travel conditions and has been rescheduled for Monday.
