News: Sunday Highlights: Dempsey delivers all-time best

The fifth weekend of the Premier Hockey Federation season wrapped up with two hat-tricks including a performance that tied a single game points record.

Boston Pride 7, Buffalo Beauts 5

Jillian Dempsey tied a PHF record with six points on Sunday including her first career hat-trick to lead Boston to a wild win in Buffalo where the teams combined for 12 goals. Loren Gabel found the back of the net twice as part of her own career-high five-point effort, and Elizabeth Giguere also recorded a personal best with four points that included one goal. Aneta Tejralova opened the scoring with her first career PHF goal for the Pride. Antonia Matzka scored twice for the Beauts, Jenna Suokko once, plus first career goals by Summer-Rae Dobson and Emma Nuutinen tied the game after trailing 5-2 in the final frame. Corinne Schroeder won her seventh game of the season with 28 saves, while Kassidy Sauve made her second straight start.

Metropolitan Riveters 2, Toronto Six 5

Brittany Howard continued her hot start in the PHF with her first career hat-trick to bring her goal total to 11 in just eight games. She scored twice in the first period to help T6 build a 3-0 lead, and added an empty-netter for insurance. Emma Woods also tallied twice for Toronto in a rebound win over the Riveters to split the weekend series. Fanni Gasparics and Madison Packer tallied for the visitors who also had a strong showing in net from Katie Burt in her second start with the team. Elaine Chuli picked up the win with 27 saves.
