As first reported by Sportsnet NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Nashville Predators have signed a one-year, one-way contract for restricted free agent forward Juuso Pärssinen for the league minimum salary of $775,000.
Pärssinen, the Predators’ seventh-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, made his NHL debut with Nashville in 2022-23.He stayed on the roster for the entirety of the season after his initial November recall, making 45 appearances before an upper-body injury ended his season in late February.
Last season, Pärssinen made the NHL roster out of training camp and posted 12 points in 44 games before being assigned to the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals in late January.
Pärssinen remained in Milwaukee for the rest of the regular season, making 36 appearances with seven goals, 18 assists, 25 points and a +12 rating. He was added back to the Predators’ playoff roster and did draw into the lineup for their season-ending 1-0 loss in Game 6 of the first-round series against the Vancouver Canucks.
