- Rookie defenceman Zayne Parekh was named first star as the Spirit won their fifth game against the Firebirds this season, capturing the coveted I-75 Divide Cup
- Parekh scored twice inside 16 seconds in the second period: amongst U17 defencemen only Rick Corriveau (19) and Aaron Ekblad (17) have ever scored more goals than the Spirit first-round pick (16)
