The Boston Bruins have been unbeatable on home ice at TD Garden.

Literally.

Not only do the Bruins have a perfect 7-0-0 record at home (no other team is unbeaten at home) after defeating the St. Louis Blues 3-1 on Monday night, they also have led for nearly all of the 252:57 of ice time in those seven games.

The only home game in which the Bruins have trailed was a 4-3 overtime win against the Minnesota Wild on Oct. 22. Wild forward Brandon Duhaime tallied a shorthanded goal 1:55 into the game, but the Bruins tied the score just 1:17 later with a goal from Nick Foligno.

Why Jim Montgomery deserves huge credit for Bruins’ hot start to season

The Bruins have scored 27 goals with 13 against at the Garden, and that plus-14 differential in home games is the best in the league. Four of the seven opponents (Panthers, Blues, Stars and Wild) the Bruins have beaten at home reached the playoffs last season, so it’s not like the B’s are just beating bad teams.

Boston’s excellent performance at the Garden has been a major catalyst for the team’s 11-2-0 start to the season overall. Given the Bruins’ dominance at home, it would behoove them to make securing home ice advantage in at least the first round of the playoffs a top priority.
