The Vegas Golden Knights have recalled forward Grigori Denisenko from the Henderson Silver Knights, the team announced Wednesday.
In a corresponding move, forward Jonas Rondbjerg has been assigned to Henderson.
Drafted by the Florida Panthers in the first round of the 2018 NHL Draft, Denisenko is in his second season with the Golden Knights organization. Although he didn’t collect a point in his season debut with the Knights Wednesday, Denisenko has collected seven points in 10 games with Henderson.
Since coming to North America in 2020-21, Denisenko has appeared in 33 career NHL regular season games, putting up seven assists.
Rondbjerg, a product of Rungsted, Denmark, has seen two games with Vegas this season but hasn’t registered a point. In seven games with the Silver Knights, he has two goals and four points.
With Denisenko getting an early look, Vegas has clearly liked what they’ve seen from him in the AHL this season. Denisenko has not been able to put it all together yet at the NHL level but perhaps he seizes a role this go around.
