2023 NHL Awards Primer: Mitch Marner is a finalist for the Selke Trophy

The 2023 NHL Awards are being held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, at 8:00 p.m. ET on Monday night.

Mitch Marner is the lone member of the Toronto Maple Leafs who’s a finalist for an award. He’s up for the Frank J. Selke Memorial Trophy for the league’s best defensive forward, along with Patrice Bergeron of the Boston Bruins and Nico Hischier of the New Jersey Devils.

Below are the awards that are being handed out on Monday night and those who are finalists…

Hart Trophy

Awarded annually to the NHL player voted most valuable to his team by the Professional Hockey Writers’ Association.

Awarded annually to the goalie voted the best at his position by NHL general managers.

King Clancy Memorial Trophy

Jack Adams Award

Jim Gregory General Manager of the Year Award
