Four Americans Earn Officiating Assignments for 2019 IIHF Men’s World Championship

After completing assignments at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship Dec. 26, 2017-Jan. 5, 2018, Jeremy Tufts and William Hancock II will make their IIHF Men’s World Championship officiating debut this May in Slovakia. 

The addition of these four brings the total number of Americans working at 2018-19 IIHF World Championship events to 31 officials across 19 different events, including the IIHF World Junior Championship Dec. 26, 2018-Jan. 5, 2019, in Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia, the IIHF Under-18 Women’s World Championship Jan. 6-13, 2019, in Obihiro, Japan, the IIHF Women’s World Championship April 4-14, 2019, in Espoo, Finland, the IIHF Under-18 Men’s World Championship April 18-28, 2019, in Ornskoldsvik and Umea, Sweden, and the IIHF Men’s World Championship May 10-26 in Bratislava and Kosice, Slovakia.
