Ottawa, ON – The Ottawa 67’s have a received a commitment from 2006-born forward Charlie Hilton, the team announced today.
“Charlie is a player that has shown steady improvement over the last two seasons,” said 67’s General Manager James Boyd. “He is a rangy player, who uses his reach to extend plays, and utilize his quick release shot.”
Hilton, 16, was selected in the 14th round, 270th overall, by Ottawa in the 2022 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. The Oshawa, Ontario native suited up with his hometown U18 Oshawa Generals (ETAHL) during the 2022-23 season, scoring 23 goals and 22 assists, for 45 points in 32 games. During the postseason, the 6’5 Hilton tallied a goal and four assists, totalling five points in six contests.
Prior to joining the U18 Generals, Hilton spent his OHL draft year with the Clarington Toros U16 AAA squad, posting 28 points (12G 16A) in 29 regular season games, and eight points (3G 5A) in six playoff appearances.
