Seventeen Soaring Eagles Earn Women’s All-Academic Honors from NEHC

MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) announced the All-Academic team recipients in the women’s division for the 2022-22 season. To be eligible for All-Academic recognition a student must carry a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA and have completed one full year at their current institution by the beginning of the hockey season. Student-athletes that were freshmen or first-years transfer during the 2022-23 season were not eligible.

Nine NEHC institutions were represented with 133 student-athletes in total earning the honor. William Smith College had a league-high 21 student-athletes honored while Plymouth State University, New England College and Elmira College all saw 17 individuals honored after placing 12 on the list a season ago.

For the Soaring Eagles, the following women’s ice hockey student-athletes were recognized with NEHC All-Academic honors. Alayna Breivogel ’25 (So., Business Administration), Claire Elfring ’25 (So., Biology), Claire Meeder ’23 (Sr., Nursing), Elizabeth LePage ’25 (So., Nursing), Erika Goleniak ’25 (So., Business Administration), Holley Riva ’23 (Sr., Childhood Special Education), Jenny Heath ’22 (Gr., General Management), Katie Manning ’25 (So., Psychology), Leonie-Louise Kuehberger ’25 (So., Biology), Lexi Hoffmann ’24 (Jr., Business Administration & Finance), Madi Morton ’24 (Jr., Psychology), Maggie Gilman ’23 (Sr., Biochemistry), Mary McCafferty ’22 (Gr., General Management), McKenzie Schmidt ’25 (So., Nursing), Morgan Mordini ’22 (Gr., General Management), Sabrina Shvartsman ’25 (So., Psychology), and Sophie Compeau ’25 (So., Psychology).
