Focht, who hails from Regina, Sask., split time last season between the Henderson Silver Knights and the Tulsa Oilers (ECHL). In two games with the Silver Knights, Focht went pointless but he collected eight goals and 22 points in 43 regular season games with the Oilers.
Drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the fifth round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Focht has played in a total of 74 AHL regular season games since turning pro. In that time, he has put up nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points.
Although Focht has spent the majority of the past two seasons in the ECHL, he has shown to be a reliable depth player at the AHL level and it would not be surprising to see him get another look this season.
