The Vegas Golden Knights announced they have reassigned 22 players to their junior or AHL clubs and placed five players on waivers.
The 22 players who will be heading back to their junior teams or the Henderson Silver Knights and Tahoe Knight Monsters are Jake Bischoff, Braeden Bowman, Jakub Brabenec, Mathieu Cataford, Daniil Chayka, Artur Cholach, Joe Fleming, Ben Hemmerling, Brandon Hickey, Bear Hughes, Jett Jones, Carl Lindbom, Samuel Mayer, Riley McKay, Mitch McLain, Simon Pinard, Matyas Sapovaliv, Isaiah Saville, Sloan Stanick, Christoffer Sedoff, Kai Uchacz, and Jesper Vikman.
Cataford headlines the players returning to the CHL. He is poised to have another strong season in the QMJHL after winning the MVP award last season. He is joining the Rimouski Oceanic who are hosting the Memorial Cup. He’ll also contend for a roster spot on Team Canada.
Brabenec, Lindbom and Sapovaliv headline the players heading to the Golden Knights farm system. Brabenec will hope to make improvements this season with an increased role while Sapovaliv and Lindbom get adjusted to professional North American hockey.

The five players who have been placed on waivers for the purpose of reassignment include Cal Burke, Grigori Denisenko, Mason Geertsen, Dysin Mayo, and Gage Quinney.
The Golden Knights are hoping the five players clear waivers to provide the Silver Knights with experienced AHL veterans.
The Golden Knights have three pre-season games remaining before the beginning of the 2024-25 regular season.
