The Philadelphia Flyers secured a big 2-0 win against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night (Oct. 29). Goaltender Samuel Ersson played a significant role in the win, as he saved all 25 Bruins shots he faced for his first shutout of the season.

While Ersson was the Flyers’ top star of the game, he made sure to give his Flyers teammates a shout-out following the contest. In the process, he sent a powerful message to the club.

Here is what Ersson said to his teammates: “We played so good. The third period, we shut them down completely. When we play like this, we’re a very good team. So let’s build on it.”

It is hard to disagree with Ersson’s statement on the Flyers’ play. They limited the Bruins to only three shots in the third period due to their excellent defensive play in front of Ersson.

It will now be fascinating to see how the Flyers build off this impressive win over the Bruins. This contest should be a real confidence booster for Ersson and the rest of the club.
