Flyers Sign New Goalie To Tryout

by admin

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed goaltender Kyle Konin to an amateur tryout agreement. This news comes with the Flyers announcing that goaltender Aleksei Kolosov will be sidelined for their matchup against the Tampa Bay Lightning due to a lower-body injury.

With Kolosov suffering a sudden injury and Samuel Ersson also being injured, the Flyers only had one available goalie on their NHL roster. Now, they have Konin as a backup in the event that Ivan Fedotov gets injured.

Konin is currently an emergency backup in Tampa Bay, where the Flyers are playing on Thursday night. He last dressed as an emergency backup for the Bolts during the 2023-24 campaign.
