PINE VALLEY, N.Y. – No. 14 Norwich University tallied a goal in each period to record a 3-0 victory against No. 7 Elmira College and salvage a split in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action on Saturday afternoon from the Murray Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Norwich opened the scoring at the 14:58 mark of the first period as Anna Lisac followed up a rebound for the Cadets to give them a 1-0 advantage over the Soaring Eagles.
- Elmira would get a late power-play opportunity in the period as the Cadets were called for a penalty at the 17:48 mark. The Purple & Gold recorded three shots with the extra skater but could not find the back of the net.
- The Cadets waited little time to add to their advantage in the second period as they made it 2-0 less than a minute into the frame off a shot from Livia Brooks. Both teams would be unsuccessful on the power play in the frame, as the Cadets took a 2-0 lead into the break.
- Norwich tallied its third goal of the contest at the 2:44 mark of the third period, as the Soaring Eagles made a goalkeeper change to try to shift the momentum. Elmira recorded 10 shots on goal in the period despite not being able to find the back of the net.
- Making her second straight start between the pipes for Elmira, Emily Finach ’25 recorded 15 saves through 42 minutes of action before Leonie-Louise Kuehberger ’25 recorded seven saves through the final 17 minutes of action.
- Erika Goleniak ’25 finished with six shots on goal in the contest for Elmira, while Alayna Toole ’26 notched four shots on goal for the Soaring Eagles. Toole also recorded nine wins in the faceoff circle for Elmira.

UP NEXT: The Soaring Eagles are back at the Murray Athletic Center next weekend for a pair of NEHC contests on Friday and Saturday against the New England College Pilgrims. Puck drop is scheduled for 3:00 P.M. on Friday and 1:00 P.M. on Saturday. Â
