ELMIRA, N.Y. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) announced its weekly award winners on Monday, with forward Erika Goleniak ’25 earning Player of the Week accolades for Women’s Ice Hockey.
The Canton, Michigan native netted six goals along with one assist to help the Soaring Eagles go 2-0 over the weekend against New England College at the Murray Athletic Center.
On Friday against the Pilgrims, Goleniak tallied a pair of goals and one assist as she fired 10 shots for the Purple & Gold. She followed with a four-goal performance and her first career hat trick on Saturday as the Soaring Eagles recorded a 12-0 win.
This is the second career Player of the Week honor for Goleniak after she garnered the award last season. The NEHC also recognized Brooke Noble from Vermont State Castleton as the Rookie of the Week and Erin Murray from William Smith as the Goaltender of the Week.
Elmira takes to the road this weekend for a pair of NEHC contests against the Salem State University Vikings on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
