If you tuned in to the World Juniors this year, you probably saw some pretty exceptional looking gear out on the ice, including the upcoming CCM Jetspeed FT4 Pro Skates.
The big thing that probably jumps out about the CCM Jetspeed FT4 Pro skates is the all-new design, which is much more bold than previous iterations. However, it kind of has a vintage looking vibe to it in my opinion and is a pretty fresh-looking design. It really stands out on the ice, and would definitely be one I would love to wear.
The CCM Jetspeed FT4 Pro skates will use CCMâs incredible one-piece boot technology, which provides a closer fit and more energy transfer in each and every stride. Itâs designed to be all about performance, acceleration, and lightness and built using RFM Composite which is an NHL-caliber lightweight composite material.
Inside of the CCM Jetspeed FT4 Pro skates is a TotalDri Pro+ liner which has high-performance moisture-wicking materials that will keep your feet dry throughout each skate. Theyâre also going to keep your skates light as it wicks the sweat away. Beyond that, the liner is extremely durable, offering great protection against rubbing and premature wear.
Around the ankle of the Jetspeed FT4 Pro will be an injected smooth contour pro comfort pad. This thick padding will help to eliminate uncomfortable rubbing and irritation against your foot and ankle.
Moving to the front of the FT4 Pro skates, CCM will be using their XS Tongue System. They come with a multi-layer tongue with 7mm felt and asymmetrical flex point for comfort and lace-bite protection, but will also be swappable for a slim tongue, or the extra thick tongue, both sold separately.
Beneath your foot is a molded CCM Ortholite Ultralite footbed to provide lightweight comfort and a great amount of support. Beneath that will be a lightweight composite midsole, perfect for pro level energy transfer with each and every stride.
Just below the boot of the CCM Jetspeed FT4 Pro skates will be a SpeedBlade XS holder featuring CCMâs quick release system. Locked into the holder will be STEP Blacksteel, the highest quality of steel with a carbon coating that enhances edge hardness, improves glide, and gives an incredible appearance to the runner.
Beyond all of the incredible tech in the Jetspeed FT4 Pro skates, CCM will also introduce a new fit system similar to what Bauer launched in 2020. The CCM Jetspeed FT4 Pro skates, along with others in the lineup, will give players the option to select a tapered fit, a regular fit, or a wide fit. This way, no matter what kind of foot shape you have, you can fit into the CCM skate of your choosing.
The CCM Jetspeed FT4 Pro skates are due to launch sometime in mid-2021.
