The University of Guelph Gryphons menâs hockey program has announced that Barrie Colts graduate Nathan Allensen has committed for the 2022-23 season.
Drafted in the second round (32nd overall) in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection, the overage blueliner spent four seasons playing with the Barrie Colts. The Waterloo, Ont. native recorded 122 points scoring 29 goals and 93 assists (29-93-122) in 243 games over his OHL tenure. The OHL did not play any games in 2020-21 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Allensen will be pursuing a Business degree at the University of Guelph in the fall.
