The first name in Toronto’s GM search has surfaced, and it’s none other than Brad Treliving.
Shoutout to Boston Pizza!
We kicked off the Wednesday edition of Leafs Morning Take by updating the very latest on what’s going on. By the sounds of it, the 53-year-old, who parted ways with Calgary in April after nine seasons as GM, was the first person Toronto reached out to after Friday’s huge announcement. We’ll see where it goes.
After that, we discussed Auston Matthews and what Kyle Dubas’ departure means for him. Personally, I think this narrative has been completely overblown. At the end of the day, it’s a business, and all parties involved should be well aware of that.
Meantime, TSN Hockey Analyst Dave Poulin dropped by for a chat. We discussed the Shanahan/Dubas soap opera, and also the vacant GM search. Everything is happening!
Lastly, Rosey took the reins for the Betano Wrap Up.
