OHL announces temporary relocation of Hamilton Bulldogs franchise to Brantford:
The Ontario Hockey League has announced that due to impending renovations and the long-term closure of FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, the Bulldogs franchise will be temporarily relocated to Brantford for the beginning of the 2023-24 season through the conclusion of the 2025-26 season. Read More

Spitfires’ Maggio named Cogeco OHL Player of the Week:
New York Islanders prospect Matthew Maggio of the Windsor Spitfires is the Cogeco OHL Player of the Week for the second time this season, recording five goals, six assists and 11 points in three games along with a plus/minus rating of plus-10. Read More
Wolves’ Krawchuk named OHL Goaltender of the Week:
Nate Krawchuk of the Sudbury Wolves is the OHL Goaltender of the Week, earning his first career shutout while posting a goals-against average of 0.97 and a save percentage of .961. Read more
PWHPA OHL Showcase Weekend Preview:
Bringing in some of the best women’s hockey talent in the world, the PWHPA OHL Showcase will feature games in Peterborough and Niagara on Friday, Feb. 10 followed by two more in Barrie and Kitchener on Saturday, Feb. 11. 67’s to open playoff push at Gatineau’s Slush Puppie Centre:
The Ottawa 67’s will play the first round of the 2022-23 J. Ross Robertson Cup playoffs from the Slush Puppie Centre in Gatineau, Quebec. Ottawa will call Gatineau home for their first, and second home games, and third if necessary, before returning to The Arena at TD Place for a potential Game 7. The move comes as The Arena at TD Place hosts the World Men’s Curling Championships, from April 1 to April 9. Read More

February is Talk Today Month in the OHL:
February is here, signaling the start of CMHA Talk Today Month across the Ontario Hockey League. Throughout February, the OHL’s 17 Ontario-based member teams will host mental health awareness games in collaboration with their local CMHA branch. Originally launched by CMHA Ontario in partnership with the OHL in 2014, Talk Today provides an important opportunity to address the mental health needs of athletes across Canada. Read more
Petes raise over $60,000 in 14th Annual Pink in the Rink Game:
The Petes welcomed their rival Oshawa Generals to the PMC for the 14th annual Pink in the Rink game on Saturday, February 4. The focus of the 14th annual Pink in the Rink Campaign was to celebrate and honour Hockey Moms who have been affected by cancer. In total, the 14th annual Pink in the Rink Campaign raised $62,600, bringing the Petes that much closer to their $1,000,000 dollar goal. Read more
Spitfires raise $19,000 for Hospice:
The Windsor Spitfires and the Windsor Spitfires Foundation are extremely proud to announce a $19,000 donation to Hospice from their 50/50 raffle for the month of January. Read more
Petes to hold Indigenous Heritage night on Thursday:
The Peterborough Petes will host their Indigenous Heritage game on Thursday. The game will include a special pre-game ceremony with the Chiefs of Alderville, Curve Lake, & Hiawatha. In-game content will include Turtle Island storytelling, and the Petes players will wear Every Child Matters stickers on their helmets. Read more
Steelheads to host Pucks n Paws night on Saturday:
The Mississauga Steelheads are set to host their Pucks n Paws game on Saturday. This means that fans in attendance can bring their four-legged friends and enjoy game day festivities! Brought to you by Ren’s Pets, there will be a Cause 4 Paws raffle where you have the chance to win a prize basket with lots of Ren’s goodies. Battalion to host Robotics game on Sunday:
The North Bay Battalion are set to host their Robotics game on Sunday as the community prepares for a big FIRST Robotics qualifying tournament from March 24 to 26 in North Bay. FIRST is an acronym For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. The mission of FIRST is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders that build science, engineering and technology skills. Read more

Wolves retire Marc Staal’s #14:
The Sudbury Wolves raised Marc Staal’s #14 to the heights of the Sudbury Community Arena on Friday night. The Florida Panthers defenceman is a former Wolves captain who earned the Max Kaminsky Trophy as OHL Defenceman of the Year in 2007, the same year he won the Wayne Gretzky 99 Award as MVP of the OHL Playoffs. Staal won a pair of World Junior gold medals and has played over 1,000 games in his NHL career. Read more
Green, Wideman and Maloney inducted into Don Brankley London Knights Hall of Fame:
The London Knights inducted former blueliners Rick Green and Dennis Wideman along with the late Dan Maloney into the Don Brankley London Knights Hall of Fame. Watch
Kings to retire Dustin Brown’s #23 on Saturday:
The Los Angeles Kings will host Dustin Brown Night on Saturday, February 11th when they play host to the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Kings will retire Brown’s #23 in honour of their legendary captain as he’ll join Rob Blake (4), Marcel Dionne (16), Dave Taylor (18), Luc Robitaille (20), Rogie Vachon (30) and Wayne Gretzky (99) as the seventh player to receive the honour. Brown was the first King to raise the Stanley Cup and played a franchise record 1,296 regular-season games with the organization, not to mention the 92 he contested in the playoffs, including a pair of championship-clinching games in 2012 and 2014. The Guelph Storm graduate is a former three-time OHL Scholastic Player of the Year who suited up in Guelph from 2000-03.
Miller records 500th career point:
Former Plymouth Whalers forward J.T. Miller registered his 500th career point on Wednesday, drawing an assist in a 4-3 loss to the New York Rangers. The 29-year-old from East Palestine, Ohio has 46 points (18-28–46) in 51 games with the Vancouver Canucks this season, contributing to his 187 goals and 313 assists in 688 career NHL games. Miller played one season for the Plymouth Whalers in 2011-12, recording 62 points (25-37–62) in his 61 games.
Healthy Chromiak finding his stride with AHL’s Ontario Reign:
Kingston Frontenacs graduate Martin Chromiak has overcome some injury setbacks in his first pro season and is back on the ice, looking to produce every game for the AHL’s Ontario Reign. The Slovakian right-winger comes off a 44-goal season in Kingston last season, and is finding his stride in the American Hockey League after being selected by Los Angeles in the fifth round of the 2020 NHL Draft. 11 OHL alumni compete in AHL All-Star Classic in Laval:
Eleven OHL graduates participated in the 2023 AHL All-Star Classic in Laval, Quebec. The All-Star Challenge got underway Monday on TSN and NHL Network as four teams participated in a 3-on-3, round-robin tournament featuring six games of 10 minutes each. The Pacific Division took a narrow 1-0 victory over the Atlantic Division to win the 3-on-3 championship. Read more
