After a great week for Filip Gustavsson, the Wild goaltender was named the NHL’s third star of the week.
Gustavsson, 26, went 2-0-0 stopping 50 of 52 shots faced in two starts for a 1.00 goals-against average (GAA) and a .962 save percentage (SV%), and scored a power play goal, to help the Wild improve to 3-0-2 on the season.
He became the 15th goalie in NHL history to score a goal (third goalie to tally a power play goal). After his week, Gustavsson improved to 3-0-1 with a 1.49 GAA and a .950 SV% in four starts this season.
His four-game point streak is the longest in his career from the start of a season.
