Vegas Golden Knights centre William Karlsson returned to practice in a red non-contact jersey.
This is the first time Karlsson has been on the ice with the Golden Knights since Sep. 22, when he was said to be out of practice and pre-season games due to maintenance for an injury. The maintenance turned into him being placed on the IR before the season opener and missing the first six games.
The 31-year-old’s return to practice in a non-contact jersey means he likely won’t suit up for the team’s next game on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings but his return is imminent.

The Golden Knights have been missing his defensive capabilities as a centre. They’ve given up an average of 3.33 goals per game and have a penalty kill percentage of just 69.2%.
Karlsson is not only a great defensive centre but a leader and offensive threat. He scored 30 goals and 60 points last year while playing against the opponent’s top forwards.
His eventual return will drastically improve the Golden Knights lineup and allow other players to slot back into roles they feel more comfortable in.
