The Philadelphia Flyers have released the schedule and roster for their upcoming rookie camp, with many of the young stars from development camp returning to further show their skills.
Highly-touted prospects Matvei Michkov, Oliver Bonk, and Denver Barkey will be present, as expected.
Some players returning from development camp include Sawyer Boulton, Hunter McDonald, Massimo Rizzo, and Carson Bjarnason.
Practice sessions will be held at the Flyers Training Center in Vorhees, New Jersey, while two Rookie Series games will be played against prospects from the New York Rangers at the PPL Center, home of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
Goaltending prospect Alexei Kolosov is notably absent from the roster amidst rampant rumors that he does not plan on honoring his current contract by reporting to the Flyers’ preseason camps.
However, rather than focus on who isn’t at camp, all eyes will be on Michkov, as these sessions will be the first opportunity for fans to see him show off his skills in person.
Rookie camp will be immediately followed by the Flyers’ main training camp, which kicks off on Sept. 18, and where a number of prospects will be expected to also train alongside the organization’s NHL roster.
