Former Canucks Prospect Scores Hat Trick In AHL

Former Vancouver Canucks prospect Aidan McDonough scored a hat trick for the Charlotte Checkers last night.

McDonough debuted for the Checkers after signing a one-year AHL contract with Charlotte over the summer. He played one full pro season with the Abbotsford Canucks, scoring 11 goals in 58 games.

McDonough was drafted in the 7th round of the 2019 NHL Draft and made his NHL debut at the end of the 2022-23 season. He scored one goal in six games for the Canucks in his six-game cameo.
