Former Kings Goalie Breaks NHL Record

by admin

Former Los Angeles Kings goalie Cam Talbot led the Detroit Red Wings to a 3-0 win last night. With his latest shutout, he is now only the second goalie in NHL history to record a shutout with seven organizations.

The Red Wings are Talbot’s eighth team; the other season teams are the Kings, New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, Calgary Flames, Minnesota Wild, and Ottawa Senators.

The only team he didn’t record a shutout was with the Flyers.

His best season came when he was with the Oilers in 2016-17. He played 73 games and had a record of 42-22-8, a 2.39 goals against average (GAA), and a .919 save percentage (SV).

The closest he ever got to that season was last season with the Kings. When he had a record of 27-20-6, a 2.48 GAA, and a .913 in 54 games. He had 3 shutouts last season with the Kings.
