A native of Detroit, Mich., Czarnik spent this past season split between the Detroit Red Wings and Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL). In 34 games with the Red Wings, Czarnik registered an assist. With Grand Rapids, he scored 10 goals and added 18 assists for 28 points in 38 regular season games.
Prior to turning pro at the end of the 2014-15 season, Czarnik spent four seasons with the RedHawks, collecting 169 points in 159 career games.
Over the course of eight NHL seasons, Czarnik has suited up for the Boston Bruins, Calgary Flames, New York Islanders, Seattle Kraken, and the Red Wings.
As Czarnik makes his way to Switzerland, he will most likely be a standout player right away. While he struggled to produce in the NHL this past season, he has been an above-average AHL player capable of scoring when needed.
