With the 2024-25 NHL Regular Season almost starting, many NHL teams are gearing up for the season and trimming down rosters.
Former Wild forward and Minnesota native Vinni Lettieri was placed on waivers on Friday by the Boston Bruins.
Lettieri, 29, had five goals and nine points in 46 games with the Wild in 2023-24. He had four goals and four assists in ten AHL games last year for the Iowa Wild as well.
He is expected to be sent to AHL Providence if he clears waivers. He had 23 goals and 49 points in 48 games for the Providence Bruins during the 2022-23 season. He played in one NHL game for the Bruins that season as well.
Minnesota traded Lettieri and pick No. 110 to Boston at the 2024 NHL Draft for Jakub Lauko and the No. 122 pick. The Wild used that pick to take defenseman Aron Kiviharju.
