It all starts with one, right?

YOU GOTTA BELEAF.

Mitch Marner notched a goal and an assist while Joseph Woll made 24 saves as the Leafs staved off elimination and forced a Game 5 with a 2-1 victory on Wednesday night in Sunrise.

First and foremost, we kicked off the Thursday edition of Leafs Morning Take by addressing the scrum at the final buzzer. Unsurprisingly, Jay Rosehill wasn’t a fan of the Marner interaction with his former OHL teammate Matthew Tkachuk. He just got rag-dolled.

After that, we got into the huge win. They played with pace, urgency, and grit —everything you need to be successful in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. On top of that and perhaps most importantly, the Core Four showed up and led the charge.

Meantime, powered by our friends over at Skip, Hockey Insider & President of Hockey Content for Daily Faceoff Frank Seravalli stopped by once again. We started by getting his thoughts on the series before looking ahead to the future a bit, too. What’s at stake?

Additionally, Frank addressed the Kyle Dubas to Pittsburgh rumours for us as well.

Lastly, for the Betano Wrap Up, we’re forecasting goals, goals, and more goals in Dallas tonight.

Join us on Friday at 11 AM ET as we preview Game 5 —another do or die game for the Maple Leafs.
