Macklin Celebrini has firmly introduced himself as one of the top rookies in the NHL, and the San Jose Sharks future superstar has won another in-season league award.
After scoring four goals and three assists in four games last week, Celebrini was named the NHL’s First Star of the Week.
Vancouver Canucks star defenseman Quinn Hughes was the second star, and Washington Capitals defenseman Jakob Chychrun was the third star.
Celebrini was named the NHL’s Rookie of the Month for November on Sunday after scoring 12 points in 14 games.

After overcoming a hip injury suffered in the season’s opening game, Celebrini has led all NHL rookies in points since he returned on Nov. 5.
For the month of November, Macklin Celebrini led NHL rookies in both points (12) and goals (7).
Will Smith tied for most assists (6) and power play points (3) among NHL rookies, was third in points (9).

On Tuesday, the 2024 NHL Draft No. 1 pick carries a four-game point streak to Washington to face Chychrun and the Capitals.
