The Vegas Golden Knights will host the San Jose Sharks in their final pre-season game of 2024.
Last time out, the Golden Knights were on the losing end of their rematch against the Colorado Avalanche. The Avalanche had a 2-1 lead going into the third period, thanks to goals from Jonathan Drouin and Sam Malinski. Jack Eichel brought the Golden Knights within a goal on the power play but a Logan O’Connor empty net goal wrapped up the win for the Avalanche.
The Golden Knights held an optional skate this morning. Among the participants were Zach Aston-Reese, Tanner Laczynski, Jonas Røndbjerg, Ben Hutton and Kaedan Korczak, with Ilya Samsonov in net. It’s expected that these five players will be healthy scratched.

Adin Hill is expected to make his second start of the pre-season. He’ll compete against MacKenzie Blackwood who’s the confirmed starter for the Sharks.
Macklin Celebrini will be out for the Sharks after suffering an injury against Utah HC. His status for the beginning of the regular season is still unknown.
These were consistent forward lines in today’s optional skate, we’ll see if it holds tonight, if they’re playing:
Eklund-White-Zetterlund
Granlund-Smith-Toffoli
Kunin-Goodrow-GrafMukhamadullin participated fully in drills, saw him with Thompson and Benning
