Hockey Equality with Anthony Stewart – Ontario Hockey League

by

OHL Director of Cultural Diversity and Inclusion Rico Phillips catches up with OHL and NHL alumnus Anthony Stewart to kick-off Black Heritage Month. Stewart discusses coming up through the minor hockey ranks to be drafted by the Kingston Frontenacs. He looks back on his OHL and NHL career along with preparing for life after the professional game. Stewart discusses Hockey Equality, an organization he and his wife Chanté started that helps lower financial barriers and makes the game more accessible for young players. He elaborates on his role with Sportsnet, being inspired by current host David Amber as well as a fellow former NHL player in Jamal Mayers who joined him in the broadcast world.
