Ghost Pirates, Silver Knights and Golden Knights: What a trio

Some of the best names in sports come in the minor leagues.

So, enter the Savannah Ghost Pirates.

Even though the team was last October, the team managed to get a whole new jolt of excitement after officially signing on as the Vegas Golden Knights affiliate.

The branding of both the Golden Knights and Silver Knights has been great, and the Ghost Pirates have their own cool, unique branding now. Heck, check out the fluorescent green!

Savannah isn’t a stranger to great team names – just ask fans of the Savannah Bananas baseball team. Let’s hope their on-ice performance matches their awesome look.

The Soccer King Of Edmonton Returns Home

Young King of Bayern Munich? Check. About to represent Canada in their first men’s World Cup in 36 years? Check. Showing up for the Battle of Alberta? You betcha.

One of Canada’s soccer’s top young players, Alphonso Davies, has always let it be known he’s a diehard Oilers fan. And like most from Edmonton, he was thrilled about his team’s Game 3 win.

Davies and his teammate, Calgarian Sam Adgebke, have a series bet going on, with the loser donating to the charity of the winning team.

Great banter, and a great cause. Smiles all around for everyone.

The Love Guru Reps The Sabres

Mike Myers love for hockey is well known. He’s a big Toronto Maple Leafs fan, but on an episode of The Late Night Show with Stephen Colbert, he appeared in a Buffalo Sabres jersey as a way to show love to the city after the horrific mass shooting in Buffalo.

No matter what team you support, being supportive for a city and its people after a tragedy is a great gesture.
